Getting started
Your first appointment
What happens when you get in touch, what to bring, and what to expect at your first assessment.
Maegan calls you back personally, usually within one business day.
- AOPA Certified
- One clinician, start to finish
- Home visits or Birtinya clinic
- NDIS, DVA & WorkCover

What to bring
- Your current prosthesis or brace, and the shoes you usually wear
- Any referral letter, surgical or medical reports
- Your NDIS plan details, DVA card or WorkCover claim number
- Shorts or loose clothing so we can see the limb
- A short list of what you want to be able to do
1. A free phone call
Call, or request a call back. Maegan talks through what is going on, answers your questions and works out whether we are the right fit. If we are not, she will point you in the right direction.
2. Assessment
At home or at our Birtinya clinic. Maegan asks about your health, your goals and what you do day to day, looks at your limb, skin and current device, and watches how you move. A family member or carer is welcome to come.
3. Quote and funding
You get a plain-language plan and an itemised quote. If you are funded, we send your funder what they need and keep you updated.
4. Scanning, fitting and reviews
Once approved, we take a 3D scan or cast, fit your device, and adjust it until it is right. We plan follow-up reviews with you from the start.
