Spinal bracing is used for
- A spinal fracture that is being managed with a brace
- Support after spinal surgery, when your surgeon prescribes it
- Back support where your doctor recommends a brace
Types of spinal brace
Common designs include:
- TLSO (thoracolumbosacral orthosis), supporting the middle and lower back
- LSO (lumbosacral orthosis), supporting the lower back
Working with your treating team
Your surgeon or doctor decides whether you need a brace, what it must control and how long you wear it. We make and fit the brace to those instructions and keep them updated.
